The King's Ginger Truffle is a unique recipe of a dark chocolate truffle centre, infused with the zesty and emphatically ginger The King's Ginger liqueur, a drink specifically formulated for King Edward VII. The truffle is then enrobed in a double layer of Charbonnel et Walker's finest dark chocolate.

We are delighted to offer The King's Ginger Truffles at a special introductory price of £10, until December 1st. The truffles will then be priced at £11.95. These new truffles are beautifully presented in luxurious black round boxes, embossed in gold, and carefully filled with eight exquisite truffles. These truffles are rich and zesty, and make a wonderfully warming flavour for the Winter season. The story behind the truffle...

The King's Ginger Truffles ia an exciting collaboration with Berry Bros & Rudd, fine wine and spirit merchants. Charbonnel et Walker was established in 1875 when King Edward VII (then Prince of Wales) encouraged Mme Charbonnel of Paris to establish a fine chocolate house on London's Old Bond Street with Ms Walker. Twenty-eight years later, in 1903, Berry Bros & Rudd, on neighbouring St James' Street, specifically formulated The King's Ginger liqueur, created to revivify and stimulate His Majesty during morning rides in his new horseless carriage.

This new truffle unites two of Mayfair & St James' longest established companies, and we are certain that if King Edward VII were alive today, he would be delighted at the collaboration of two of his most favoured suppliers. Charbonnel et Walker and Berry Bros & Rudd continue to serve the Royal family today, with Charbonnel et Walker holding a royal warrant to the Queen and Berry Bros & Rudd to the Queen and the Prince of Wales.
